Mike lives in Stockton on Tees in the North East of England and has been involved in photography for many years with interests in architectural, construction and landscape photography.

He completed a degree in Commercial Photography at Cleveland College of Art and Design (accredited by The University of Teesside) and specializes in Architectural, Construction and Industrial Photography.

Mike is a fully qualified Professional Photographer gaining Licentiate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers (LBIPP) in 2012.

He works with Professional digital photographic equipment and is also an experienced traditional film user and darkroom worker.

With an extensive Project Engineering and Design background, predominantly petrochemicals, he understands complex projects, construction site workings, their controls, hazards and typical PPE requirements.  He is therefore able to readily integrate onto various construction sites working in a safe manner and see’s structures and projects through a designer’s eye allowing him to produce striking and unique photographs.

He has been involved with Top Tier COMAH Petrochemical, Construction and Industrial sites for many years, and takes site safety very seriously, holding the following Safety related passport and certificates:

  • CCNSG: Valid Client / Contractor National Safety Group Safety Passport.

  • NCSG CDM: The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

  • IOSH Certificate: Managing Safely in the Engineering Construction Industry (Onshore).

  • ECITB: Certificate: Supervisory Management Training & Development Core Module in Site Safety.

  • Safe Working at Heights Certificate of Training.

  • Safe Use, Inspection & Donning Safety Harness Certificate of Training.

Mike has always been passionate about his photography work and always strives to produce top quality images capturing the essence of the place or moment, even in challenging site environments.  He is also a keen Landscape Photographer, when time permits.
