My drive in supporting you is to combine my extensive engineering career experiences and photography skills to produce evocative images able to tell your project story, sell your product or expertise to best effect. In my experience great photography helps you to communicate your successes, engage your audiences and sell your services.
In short, I aid Directors, Managers, Engineers, Architects, Designers, Marketing Professionals with their in-house communication and marketing processes.
My career for over 40 years has been in Mechanical Engineering Design, Project Engineering / Management and Construction, mainly newbuild and plant upgrades. The majority on top tier COMAH petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical sites and started in a shipyard drawing office. Part of that work required photographing aspects of projects to record existing plant layouts and details to aid the design process.
I am a fully qualified Professional Photographer gaining Licentiate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers (LBIPP) in 2012.
That experience and professional training means you have a photographer who understands processes, machinery and structures, and I have a head start in knowing how your manufacturing or project processes run. I see structures and projects through a designer’s eye allowing me to produce striking and unique photographs to suit your needs.
If you say you want a picture of a particular component, then at least I probably know which way up it goes and able to give it context.
Creativity comes from understanding and a real enthusiasm for producing images that enhance your intended message.
Who do I Support?
I support a variety of businesses and work with major International Petrochemical and Chemical manufacturers, National Construction and Demolition Companies to record and showcase that work.
In the past 10 years I have created high impact images for a range of clients from local Architects, national construction companies and marketing specialists. To large multinational chemical manufacturers, a world leader in sealing & bonding technologies and E&P companies, delivering unique, evocative images helping them showcase their products, services, complex processes, and project progress.

I have owned cameras and have had an interest in photography since my teens taking photographs across several genres including motorsport, architectural, product and landscape.
On progression from film to digital I realised I wanted to take my photography journey further and subsequently gained a degree in commercial photography.
I took my engineering experience into a full-time photography career in 2018 – the best of both worlds.
My Values
I am passionate about my photography work and always strive to produce high quality images capturing the essence of the place or moment. I also like the technical challenges presented in certain environments and enjoy finding solutions to those challenges. I usually work alone following either my client’s brief or using my visual interpretation skills and experience honed over many years. I also work closely with clients, designers, art directors, marketing managers and project team members to tailor and achieve specific shots.
